Editorial Policy

Planted Tank Reviews publishes research-based hardware guides for freshwater planted tanks. We do not invent lab tests, author credentials, ASINs, search volumes, or prices.

1. Research, not theater

Assessments draw on manufacturer specifications, materials documentation, and aggregated buyer reports. If a manufacturer provides a sample, it is disclosed. We do not claim first-hand lab testing that did not happen.

2. Hardware-only scope

We cover lights, substrate, CO2 kits, filters, and heaters. We do not publish livestock stocking plans, live-plant-as-product reviews, disease diagnosis, or medication advice.

3. Affiliate transparency

Amazon links use the Associates tag plantedtankreviews-20. Commission does not increase the price you pay and does not buy a recommendation.

4. Named products only when we can verify them

We do not invent ASINs. If we cannot verify a current product ID, we omit the affiliate link rather than fabricate one.

5. Updates

Hardware lines change. We revisit pillar guides when a named SKU is replaced or when the comparison set no longer matches what is actually sold.
